What to look for on a COA.
A quick walkthrough of the six elements that matter most. Use these as a verification checklist for every batch you receive.
Date of Analysis.
The date the lab performed the testing. Recency matters: a COA issued more than 6 months prior to your purchase warrants a second look.
Listed in the document header.
HPLC Purity.
The percentage of target peptide versus impurities. Path's minimum spec is ≥99%. Below that threshold, the batch is rejected and never ships.
Look for "Purity (HPLC)" in analytical results.
Mass Spec Identity.
Confirms the peptide's molecular weight matches its expected value. If the measured mass diverges, the sequence in the vial isn't what the label claims.
Listed as MS or LC-MS in the identity section.
Net Peptide Content.
Quantifies how much actual peptide is in the vial versus counterions and moisture — essential for accurate reconstitution math.
Shown as a percentage of total vial mass.
Endotoxin Testing.
Screens for bacterial endotoxins that can compromise results. Low endotoxin levels are critical for any cell-based work.
Reported in EU/mg against the acceptance limit.
